The Environmental Impact Assessment presented to the public on June 9th for the proposed cruise ship berthing revealed that the dredging operation would remove 15 acres of coral reef and likely kill an additional 20 acres outside the dredge site. This area includes the Balboa Wreck, the Cali Wreck, Soto’s Reef’s as well as the world famous Eden Rock and Devil’s Grotto sites.

One of the arguments made by the pro port movement is that “there is nothing there”. Below are four videos shot recently and exclusively on the sites in danger. Please watch and see for yourself what exactly is there and what we stand to lose.

If you would like to help us save these incredible national treasures, please visit SaveCayman.org and sign one of the two petitions.

We encourage everyone to read the full Environmental Impact Assessment here.
